The legendary, Grammy award winning singer, Joe Cocker, returns to London this May for his first show in London for more than five and half years. His only UK show, part of his “Fire It Up” European tour, will take place at  Hammersmith Apollo on Monday 13 May.

Sheffield-born, Joe Cocker, one of the greatest blues and soul interpreters in the world, returned to the studio last year to record a new album with producer Matt Serletic. The album entitled “Fire It Up will be released in the UK on 18th February.

Having already gone gold in Germany since its release there last November, the album
contains 11 tracks which Serletic says include “great soul numbers, big power ballads and high energy tracks. We took it to the next level”.

The title track and first single, “Fire It Up”, is one of Joe’s favourites.   He says “It’s a special kind of tune and it set up the whole album”.

His upcoming European tour  will give fans their first chance to hear Joe  performing tracks from the ‘Fire It Up’ album, as well as classics such as ‘You Can Leave Your Hat On’,‘Unchain My Heart’, ‘Up Where We Belong” and “ With a Little Help From My Friends”.

Joe Cocker, with his uniquely distinctive voice, is still one of the most successful and popular artists worldwide.  Four and a half decades after he thrilled the crowds at Woodstock, he remains one of rock’s pre-eminent performers, continuing to record and tour prolifically.

Many of his 22 studio albums have achieved multi-platinum status.  He has received Grammy Awards, Golden Globes, Academy Awards, and in 2007 an OBE. And just this week he picked up yet another award, this time a Lifetime Achievement Award at the prestigious Goldene Kamera in Berlin. In short, he’s a legend.

Supporting Joe Cocker on the night will be Ruarri Joseph.
