To round off another wonderful year Katie Melua is embarking on an autumn tour across Europe beginning with a run of seven shows in Britain.
The 27 year old singer, who has sold more than 11 million albums and is one of Britains most successful artist of the last decade, will be performing songs from all five of her studio albums, including her latest album Secret Symphony which was released in March to critical acclaim. As well as singing her more familiar tracks which made her famous worldwide, including The Closest Thing To Crazy and Nine Millions Bicycles, Katie is looking forward to performing the new songs for her UK fans: I really enjoyed recording Secret Symphony, there is a simplicity to it that I love and the songs are beautiful to sing. Playing a song live on stage brings something new each time and it is exciting to share that unique performance, that special moment, with the audience.
Katie has spent the summer performing at festivals and outdoor concerts at stunning venues throughout Europe, including appearances at Hampton Court Palace Festival in London, the Jazz Open Festival in Stuttgart, Den Fynske Landsby open air museum in the Danish district of Odense, and performing with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg at the historic town square Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin.
Katie Melua plays the Hammersmith Apollo on 10th October. Supporting will be Boy.
